Last year I bought when it was available as the name "DK special yarn". Now when I purchased this, It's available as "anti-pill" yarn. I can clearly notice the difference between two.. The earlier version was shinier and a bit thin that the current anti pill version. The special yarn version was superior and very premium looking. This anti pill version is good but not that great and doesn't has any shine. I miss the dk special yarn.
The earlier 'DK Special Yarn' was a 4-ply yarn designed for a specific look and feel, including its shinier finish. The current 'DK Solids Anti-Pill Yarn' is a 3-ply yarn with anti-pilling properties, making it less prone to forming pills or fuzz during use or washing. This change was implemented to cater to customers who prioritize durability and ease of maintenance.
While the anti-pill version may not have the same shine as the DK Special, it offers its own advantages in terms of longevity and smoothness over time. Each version has its unique qualities, and we hope you’ll find the DK Solids equally enjoyable for your projects.
